It became famous when it was used as ‘Monty’s Cottage’ in the hit eighties film ‘Withnail & I’.

The property eventually sold for £265,000 and was purchased by a local pub landlord who vowed to restore many of the original features used in the movie, much to the delight of diehard Withnail fans who attended the auction in London.
