The World of Beatrix Potter- A Magical Journey

For many children stories about Peter Rabbit and other animals has become part of growing up. The young and the young at heart can relieve these childhood stories in a magical experience at the World of Beatrix Potter. Visitors can take a journey through the stories that they read in their younger years. Get to know all of the different characters in Beatrix Potters stories and observe them in actual story settings.

Both the young and old are sure to enjoy stepping into the stories themselves. Not only will they be able to see everything, the display also includes sounds and scents for a more realistic experience. Guests will also learn about the life of the author through the exhibit. The attraction is divided into six parts and takes about 45 minutes to an hour to view

This unique experience may leave guests hungry. The Beatrix Potter Tea Room is open to serve guests with a rumbling in their tummy. This award winning tea room has scrumptious dishes cooked with the freshest ingredients straight from Peter Rabbits Garden. Dishes range from fresh garden salads to sandwiches and home baked goodies. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea are served here as well.

The Tea room also provides a childrens menu, baby food heating facilities and high chairs for the convenience of guests. Other than the usual displays, visitors can also catch different events throughout the year. The World of Beatrix Potter is outfitted with facilities for the disabled to accommodate guests with special needs.

Admission to this unique world is 6.75 for adults, 5.75 for senior citizens and 3.50 for children. Family tickets are also available at 18. For visitors who wish to view the exhibit multiple times a freedom pass may be bought at 30.00. This will allow holders multiple entries as well as special discounts and newsletters. The World of Beatrix Potter is open from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm during the summer months. During the winter months it is open from 10 am to 4:30 pm. It is closed on Christmas Day and between January 24 and February 4.

Found right in the center of the English Lake District getting to the World of Beatrix Potter is quite easy. It can easily be accessed by boat, rail, bicycle, bus or even by walking.
