Lying to the north of Derwent Water, Keswick has a population of around 4300. Originally in the ancient county of Cumberland, Keswick is now an important base for visitors to the Northern Lake District.

Most of Keswick’s businesses are related to tourism, providing facilities and accommodation for the thousands of walkers visiting the region every year.
