High Head Sculpture Valley

Located on a working dairy farm close to the village of Ivegill this tourist attraction is sure to keep guests busy. There is something for anybody and everybody who comes here. Those who love the arts are sure to enjoy taking a look at the various gallery displays. A changing exhibition of contemporary and traditional art can be observed throughout the year. Works include paintings, photography, ceramics and sculpture. The works of renowned sculptor and farm owner Jonathan Stamper can also be seen throughout the 5 acres of outdoor sculpture park. Visitors interested in learning about various arts may do so through the different workshops.

Aside from appreciating the arts, the High Head Sculpture Valley farm is also the perfect place for relaxation. Guests who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life can do so right here. The High Head Spa offers a relaxing get away where guests can pamper themselves. Housed in a Scandinavian log cabin, guests can enjoy the view as well as hydrotherapy and the use of the sauna. Other treatments available at the spa include hand, treatments, foot treatments and many more.

The Farmhouse Tearoom also makes for a perfect place to sit and relax. Whether guests are looking to sip a cup of coffee or enjoy a light meal the tearoom has just what they need. Visitors can enjoy delicious Cumbrian delights made from famous recipes. Meals are also made with fresh produce whenever possible. Younger ones are sure to enjoy dining here as well, especially since there are menu selections for them too. Dining facilities include high chairs together with the tables and chairs indoors and outdoors. For those who wish to bring home some treats the Farm Shop offers some locally produced items.

Guests can make a trip out to High Head Sculpture Valley on any day except Wednesdays. It opens at 10:30 am and closes at 5 pm with the last admission at 4:30 pm. During the winter, it is open from 10:30 am to 4 pm. The facility is also closed from the 24th of December to the 5th of January.
